Gym Hero

Ok, I started lifting again and plan on getting a little serious about it again.  I don’t want to get back to my “bouncing days” big again, but I would like to add another 20lbs of muscle.  If you’ve read my blog before, you may remember a page about “Jefit Fitness”.  I really liked that app, but it was more of a standalone app and didn’t sync with my Runkeeper app.  I am highly motivated by the thought of others holding me accountable for my activities, whether it’s via comments made or “just in my head” because  don’t want to look like a slug 🙂

Anyways,  I found this app, Gym Hero, and am Very pleased with it!  It is extremely easy to use, highly customizable AND syncs to Runkeeper.  If you are looking for a way of tracking your strength training activities, if you use Runkeeper or not – it’s worth a look. Here is what an activity looks like after it’s completed.

Since everything else is getting some updating — my lifting update?  Lifting has been going pretty well.  I’ve made some gains in a fairly short amount of time.  The pic on the left is from Mid-October 2016 and the one on the right is from early January 2017.

The only downside is I got sick in March/April and ended up losing 18lbs.  While I’m not starting exactly from scratch again – it is a tough pill to swallow to loose so much of what I worked for again… Back healthy now tho!

Not only is it a great app — the designers seem to be some pretty cool guys…
